Apprenticeship as a success story: Kapsch honored as TOP apprenticeship company
Vienna, December 7, 2022 – We are proud to announce that Kapsch was awarded the "TOP Lehrbetrieb" quality seal by the City of Vienna together with the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Industries Vienna, the Federation of Trade Unions and the Vienna Chamber of Labor.
At a festive event in Vienna's City Hall, companies were honored that offer a particularly high quality of training for apprentices. In a two-stage process, a jury evaluated criteria such as the quality of the trainers, the entry and success rate in the final apprenticeship examination and special social commitment in training. We are pleased that our efforts to offer young people high-quality and future-oriented training have been recognized and awarded!
Apprenticeship training at Kapsch is a decades-long success story of which we are very proud. In around 75 years, more than 1,300 young men and women have completed a technical or commercial apprenticeship with us. The professions have changed over time and have been continuously adapted to current conditions, market requirements and technical developments. We currently offer apprenticeships in IT systems engineering and industrial business management. 14 apprentices are currently employed at Kapsch TrafficCom.
Christina Haderer, apprentice program manager at Kapsch TrafficCom: ”We try to offer our apprentices an attractive package of content-based training, professional experience and, of course, fair pay. The seal is a great confirmation, but what we are most pleased about is the professional and personal development of our apprentices during their apprenticeship and the professional development in our company after their apprenticeship. That is our mark of quality”.
