The World Road Association PIARC organizes from October 25 to 28, 2022, in Granada, Spain, its 2nd international conference on the operations and safety of road tunnel.
The challenges derived from climate change, sustainability and resilience of infrastructures, as well as the technological transformation of road transport will entail a redefinition of the standards for the design and management of roads and, of course, of road tunnels.
This 2nd International Conference, simultaneously with the VIII National Tunnel Symposium, organized by the Spanish ATC-PIARC Asociación Técnica de Carretera, will allow to expose the state of the art of all these novel topics and create a forum for the exchange of ideas that will allow us to continue investigating and modelling the tunnels in the coming years.
Miguel Angel Meléndez, Senior Systems Engineer Tunnel Traffic Management Solutions, will talk on October 26, 2022, in the 5th Session: “Sustainable operation and management of tunnels” (II) about the Emergency Management through dynamic plans.
