Kapsch TrafficCom is looking for a Professional C# Software Developer to join their Roadside Software (software for tolling stations) developers.

Become a member of the Scrum team that develops the brain of Roadside deployed on highways worldwide. Imagine a roadside gantry as the body, its cameras and sensors its eyes and ears, then you will engineer on its brain – the software that makes sense from all the input data available – that makes roadside management and tolling possible. In general we speak C#, but for time critical modules we resort to C++ or Rust.

Your responsibilities

  • You will become part of an international team that implements a sub system of a huge roadside solution that depends on other sub systems and on which other systems depend.
  • Therefore you need to implement functionality in the given design within the defined architecture and work actively with your colleagues.
  • Improve the architecture and design in collaboration with your colleagues.
  • Follow the given software development guidelines in your team and help to improve them.
  • Quality assurance of the software (Unit testing, white box testing, etc.).
  • Document your code (writing meaningful comments so your colleagues can work with you together).

Your profile

  • At least three years of professional experience of Software Development in C#. Professional experience in C++ as well as experience in Rust is nice to have.
  • Professional experience with HTTP REST API services, Google Protobuf, ZeroMQ and Dependency Injection in .NET via HostApplicationManager.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence, GitLab CI, Continuous Integration and Docker is nice-to-have as we use it in our daily work.
  • Fluent in English (orally and written) and is mandatory. Knowing Spanish or German is nice-to-have.
  • You are a team player: You agree with your colleagues on development guidelines and you follow them yourself. You implement in a way that integrates into the whole team’s goal.
  • An open mind for new technologies and changes/transitions.
  • Experience in electronic toll collection or telematics is nice-to-have.

Our offer:

  • A market compliant gross salary in line with your qualifications and your job experience

  • Permanent role
  • Flexible working hours
  • Hybrid working model (3 days of remote work/week)
  • 30 business days of annual leave
  • Flexible remuneration plan: transport card, restaurant card, private medical care, etc.

  • Challenging the limits of mobility for a healthy world without congestion

  • A hands-on onboarding with an experienced team in an international working environment

  • Ongoing professional education and training measures
