As a DevOps Engineer at Kapsch, you will be responsible for providing ongoing build, deployment, and CI/CD pipeline support for various transportation-related products.

In this role, you will help develop and institute an automated and repeatable CI/CD framework for our software suites. We are looking for innovative thinkers who can architect creative solutions and also identify opportunities for new tools, processes, and systems. You will also bring a fresh perspective on how SDLC should be done from test-driven development to Continuous Integration and Delivery.

Your responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for multiple products.
  • Develop scripts and code for extensive test and deployment coverage.
  • Automate processes to improve efficiency.
  • Create IaC for the deployment of various environments.
  • Work with development teams across the globe to implement DevOps practices.

Your profile:

  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as GitLab or GitHub
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Proficiency with Linux command line, shell scripting, PowerShell
  • Experience creating infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)
  • Experience performing system builds using Maven
  • Automation experience with at least two configuration and deployment management systems such as Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, GitLab, GitHub, or Chef
  • Experience with container management tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and AKS
  • Familiarity with programming in languages such as Java, dotnet, Python, or Rust
  • Experience with container management tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and AKS
  • Experience with threat detection, security protocols, security audits, and security scanning tools
  • Atlassian Tool Suite experience (Jira and Confluence)
  • Team player with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills and documentation skills
  • Advanced level of English language
