Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Lead to oversee and manage the financial functions of our project operations. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies, fiscal controls, and reporting procedures to ensure high quality project delivery. This is a high-visibility role that will require a strong understanding of general accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing thorough, accurate and timely budget and expense management reports for the organization.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process including analysis and review of financial information and its impact on the business.
  • Analyzing and interpreting financial information for planning and control purposes.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies and controls to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Collaborate closely with the back office team to customize and refine reports that align with the project-specific requirements.
  • Work directly with gov. client to understand and align on their reporting structure, ensuring accurate and efficient financial data flow.
  • Provide expertise and insights into financial data, supporting the project team to meet their goals efficiently and accurately.
  • Foster a strong working relationship with external clients and customers, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • CPA license is required
  • Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and expertise in applying these principles to financial reporting.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles
  • Experience with project based and percentage of completion accounting
  • Proven ability to handle complex financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues.
  • Experience working with external clients/customers, with a strong understanding of client relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others positively, working well in team-oriented environments.
