Kapsch TrafficCom develops smart solutions to make mobility safer, more sustainable and efficient for everybody. We design, build and operate traffic management systems including connected vehicles technology and mobility demand management as well as tolling services for cities, roads, tunnels and bridges around the world. We develop data and video analytics platforms, building on state-of-the-art technologies including AI, machine learning, big data and cloud services to enable the digitalization of mobility.

Responsible for the efficiency and user experience of the platform governance and strategy operations.

The platform team works on building a global governance and control platform with operation tools. The team provides efficient product solutions for multi-market and a variety of traffic management function combinations governance.

Platform PMs are more internal, technical, and architecture-driven.

Responsibilities:

  • Transversal vision across portfolio; holistic solution approach, never siloed
  • Responsible for the overall planning and construction of the platform: core functionality, governance, system monitoring, front, middle & back-end product capacity building
  • Oversee the strategic development and execution of underlying technologies and systems that allow solutions to be built on top of it
  • Ensure that the company’s technology platform is:
    • Robust
    • Scalable
    • Capable of supporting different Traffic solutions that the company offers
    • Easily integrate with other systems
    • Safe and resilience to protect end-users who depend on the platform to conduct business
  • Provide seamless experience for both internal developers and external customers
  • Manage a broad set of technologies and services
  • Excel in navigating the intersection of technology, business, and user experience
  • Balance between many different sets of priorities
  • Obsession about keeping roadmap and prios up to date based on the long-term vision
  • Manage complex technical requirements like APIs and other platform components
  • Strong adherence to QA principles and seeker of automation, pen, and performance tests

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or above, 5 years or more working experience as platform product manager. Great if the experience was achieved in e-commerce
  • Experience in middle and backend definition, open platform, data workflow management in platforms, risk control, platform operation and other related work experience
  • Strong experience in defining and implementing non-functional requirements
  • Experience also in developing KPIs to monitor platform health
  • Good sensitivity towards UX and fluid/intuitive operation for users at the platform console
  • Ability to work with structured product thinking while providing business acumen
  • Capable to articulate data driven product requirements, including discovery & improvement, with a focus on perfection
  • The candidate can discover problems and opportunities and drive business growth
  • Able to articulate the platform’s value proposition clearly and convincingly, driving buy-in from stakeholders across the organization
  • Strategic thinker, comfortable at exploring market trends and identify next moves to keep platform up-to-date
